Target Species: Steller’s Jay

Craig posted the following to his personal blog the other day:

Apropos of nothing, here’s a Stellar’s Jay I took earlier from my deck:

I’m not sure if that location is visible with the webcam, but if so, I’d assume it’s somewhere in the trees in the middle to right part of the webcam’s field of view. And the fact that a Stellar’s Jay was visible from the deck seems like a good indication that one could show up in the webcam at some point.

I’m kind of surprised one hasn’t been caught so far. Maybe the feeders are much more Western Scrub-Jay territory, and the Steller’s Jays keep more to the woods?

Update: Target successfully acquired. Yay!
